 Welcome and thank you for visiting the Transformational Writing Center. The use of journal writing, poetry, and creative expression in a safe, supportive, and relaxed learning environment is known to aid in personal growth, expression of emotions such as grief and loss, and provides an outlet for giving voice to what is important in one's life.  It is my sincere hope that you will enjoy and experience personal growth and insight when you participate in the writing groups and classes we offer here at the Transformational Writing Center. Within these web pages, in addition to our group and workshop offerings, we provide links to the world of writing and healing research, training opportunities, and information about other writing organizations and activities around the country. Coming in February 2012
The Magic of Journaling, taught by Debra Thornley-Barbre, MA, CPT, will be offered on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm. The workshop will be held at the home of Sandra Mauck, nestled in the foothills of the scenic Tucson mountains.  Cost is $65.00. Giving Sorrow Words
Loss and grief issues are brought on by many different types of life events. In this group participants will be introduced to journal-writing and poem-making techniques designed to help cope with sorrow and loss associated with life’s major events such as death of a loved one.
